Telemetry

Telemetry

Remarkable decline of core body temperature in tree shrews during the night

For monitoring and collecting physiological data (core body temperature, electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyogram (EMG)) from conscious freely moving tree shrews we use implantable telemetry transmitters. Once the telemetry device is implanted, data can be monitored 24 hours per day for up to three months without human intervention or contact while the animal remains in its home cage.

Techniques:
Microsurgery, implantable telemetry, behavioral analysis, sleep analysis
